Town of Brookhaven HOME ARP Rental Arrears Assistance Program

The Town of Brookhaven Rental Assistance Program ("the Program") is designed to promote housing stability for eligibile residents ("Qualifying Populations"). Administered by the Long Island Housing Partnership ("LIHP"), the Program is funded through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development under the American Rescue Plan. Funding is limited and assistance will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis until all funds are exhausted.

Maximum Coverage Program assistance may cover up to six months of past-due rent and any related late fees, subject to the maximum limits specified in the Program Cap. Please refer to the chart below for details.

Maximum Income Guidelines Applicants must have a total household income at or below 30% or 50% of the 2025 HUD Area Median Income (AMI). Please refer to the chart below for current income limits based on household size.
