The Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. and its Affiliates (LIHP) and the Islip Town Community Development Agency working in cooperation with Islip Town, Suffolk County and New York State Homes and Community Renewal will be constructing 11 new affordable workforce housing units on scattered sites within the hamlet of Brentwood in Islip Town.  LIHP, as developer, will be responsible for implementing and administering the Workforce Housing Program under the Program Guidelines.

Under this program, assistance will be provided to eleven eligible first-time homebuyers to purchase affordable single-family homes on scattered sites in the community of Brentwood in Islip Town. The homes available are newly constructed with either 3 or 4 bedrooms. The Long Island Housing Partnership, Inc. and Affiliates, a not-for-profit organization, will be developing the homes in partnership with the Islip Town Community Development Agency and Islip Town.

In order to be eligible to participate in the Workforce Housing Program, a first-time homebuyer must meet all the requirements described within the program guidelines. A $100 application fee is required at time of submission of online application. This fee is paid through a secure PayPal transaction in order to complete your application submission. These standards reflect the objective that the housing being developed is affordable to and sustainable by the borrower. 

Only one application is allowed. Applicants who submit more than one application will be disqualified. After being submitted, any changes to an application must be requested in writing and must be approved by the program review committee. Applications are now available on a first come, first served basis and applications will be ranked after the applicants that were ranked through the initial lottery.

The Vineyards at Blue Point is a new senior (55+) condominium development located right off Sunrise Highway in Blue Point. This development is offering twenty-eight (28), two-bedroom, two bathroom condominiums to senior households who earn at or below 80% or 120% of the current Nassau/Suffolk area medium income as determined by HUD. Based on applicant's income level, the homes shall either be $218,000 or $327,000.

The development will have available many amenities including club house and pool. In order to be considered for the lottery, applications must be received by September 14, 2015.

LIHP will be constructing 3 new single-family homes in the Village of Mastic Beach. Homes include 3 bedroom, one-and-a-half bath ranch style homes available for approximately $155,000 and 4 bedroom, 2 bath colonial style homes available for approximately $165,000. These homes will be available to qualified first-time homebuyers.

Each home will feature a one-car garage, tile floor, carpeting and appliances. All homes will come with a one-year warranty provided by the builder. Applications are currently being accepted on a first-come first-served basis.

The Town of North Hempstead, the Town of North Hempstead Community Development Agency, Long Island Housing Partnership, NY State Homes and Community Renewal, Cornerstone Properties and Nassau County will be constructing fifteen (15) new affordable workforce homes in Westbury. The Rose Place townhomes will consist of eleven (11) newly constructed 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath townhomes. The remaining homes will be three (3) newly constructed 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath single family homes on scattered sites in Westbury, and one (1) totally renovated 3 bedroom, 1 1/2 bath single family home.

The projected subsidized purchase price of the townhome is estimated to be $133,616. The estimated subsidized purchase price range of the single family home is $219,008 - $227,852. The estimated subsidized purchase price of the renovated home is $221,446.
